Irving Resident Receives IFB Scholarship

Megan Tuetken, Irving, is the recipient of a $4,000 scholarship from the Illinois Farm Bureau Rural Nurse Practitioner Program.

The scholarship program helps encourage and develop the pool of rural health practitioners to help meet primary care needs in rural Illinois.  Students who receive scholarships agree to practice in an approved rural county in Illinois.

The Montgomery County resident attends Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, Edwardsville, IL She received her BSN at Millikin University in Decatur, IL.  She currently works for Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL, as a Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse.  Megan is a member of the Illinois Farm Bureau; Unit Based Council Member with 2C ICU Memorial Medical Center and is very active with the Hillsboro Free Methodist Church.

Megan and her husband, Lucas, have three children.
